Sarah Ruth Sippel is a Professor of economic geography and globalization studies at Münster University. 

Her research has investigated land and natural resources, the global food system, sustainable liveli- hoods, labour and migration, and the intersections of global finance, digital technologies, and agri-food. More recently, she has also started a new project on diverse economic, resiliency, and food sovereignty practices in rural Italy (Molise). Empirically, she has worked in North Africa (specifically Morocco), Australia, the US, and the Mediterranean (France, Italy).
